Aaesha Shehzad, president Interact Club of Lahore Garrison, along with Past District Interact Representative Fatima Shehzad visited Chak 73/RB Karianwala Village near Faisalabad and distributed Polio badges amongst the children as a part of their Polio Awareness Campaign. They spoke to the children and informed them about the importance of Polio vaccination. Polio story books were also presented to the children. Umbrellas with “Polio Free Pakistan” messageand packets of tea were given to the women of the village. The Interact Club members also talked to the women and urged them to vaccinate their children under five years of age on the polio National Immunization Days (NIDs) and to spread awareness regarding polio amongst their friends and families. Rotary International Past District Governor Shehzad Ahmed and Past President of Innerwheel Club Dr. Maimoona Ali were also present at the occasion and participated in the program.
